Baby Bath Time Favorites

I recently shared our baby sleep time favorites, and thought I’d do the same with bath time products that we love and recommend! Once again, there are just so so many options out there; so what's actually good, and what works?
Bath time for baby can go both ways; screaming munchkin absolutely NOT into it at all, or bursting with joy baby splashing around like it’s the most fun thing in the world. I’ve experienced both. Rumi didn’t enjoy baths in the beginning, but somewhere along the way of our daily bath times, she has grown to absolutely LOVE it!

Here are the things that have made our daily bath time routine easy, and an absolute joy!
BATH TUB

This is a great bathtub for a baby. Out of my group of mommy friends, more than half of us use it. The back is a little cushioned and makes the baby’s skin kind of stick to it to keep them upright, and there’s also a nifty bump where they sit to make sure they don’t slide down. It has a plug to drain water, and thankfully it doesn't stick out or open easily.

BATH RINSE CUP

I mean, you can probably use any old random jug to rinse the babe, but I adore this one as it has the silicone edge that makes sure no water leaks through and over baby’s face. It's just a nice little extra, I think, and will probably become a bath time toy somewhere down the line.

SHAMPOO & BODY WASH

The Honest Company has great products for babies as they contain no harmful chemicals, parabens or any of those nasty things. This shampoo and body wash combo is so gentle, even if she gets a little in her eyes they never get red or irritated, it’s easy to quickly rinse out. The smell is nice, but not overpowering, and a little goes a long way!

WATER TEMPERATURE THERMOMETER

I’m sure you can just feel the water and “wing it”, but I’m way too paranoid, so I got this nifty little water thermometer to make sure the water is never too hot for baby. Bonus, she loves playing with it, too!

BATH TOYS

Talking about playing, I’ve been meaning to get a couple of toys for her for bath time, as she seems to love splashing around and playing in the tub. She’s now at the stage where she wants to grab the wash cloth from my hands, so it will be useful to keep those little grabbers busy. These bath toys from LIEWOOD are so cute!

MUSLIN WASH CLOTHS

These are great! They are small and lightweight and so soft. They dry quickly, too! Highly recommend!

HOODED TOWEL

This towel is so incredible soft and cuddly, and it was especially useful in the colder months when Rumi was still an infant. The quality is excellent and I like that we have this dedicated towel for her.

BODY LOTION

This lotion is lightweight and very gentle. Rumi gets a little baby massage after her bath and this is perfect for it!

ALL OVER OINTMENT

If you buy one product for your baby’s skin, this should be it! We‘ve used it for everything from dry patches, baby acne, drool rashes, to cradle cap and it works like magic! I usually apply it to the needed spots right after bath time.

DIAPER BALM

This is another product I highly recommend! No other diaper balm I’ve tried can clear up a rash like this balm, it’s literally magic!

HAIR BRUSH

Not that my baby has a head full of hair yet, but I always like to brush the few strands she has after bath time. The bristles are so soft and I think she likes the feeling of it.
