Cozy Fall & Winter Loungewear Favorites

Write what you're passionate about, they said. Well, one of the things I'm VERY passionate about is loungewear. Yes, I like to get dressed up once in a while, but at heart I'm a homebody and especially during the cooler months I love to get comfortable and live my best sweatpants life at home. Now that it's finally cooler in Taiwan, and I just started maternity leave, AND I know some of you might be going into mandatory quarantine (or just opting to stay home and social distance) I thought it was very appropriate to share some of my personal favorite cozy loungewear pieces for fall and winter.
SWEATSHIRTS

PANGAIA Lightweight Recycled Cotton Sweatshirt ($130)
PANGAIA is a brand that I only heard about this past year, and after learning more about their focus on sustainability, I thought I'd get a couple of items to try out. This sweatshirt comes in many colors, but I decided to get it in this off-white (I know, I know, it probably won't be the most practical color with a newborn) and is made of a lightweight recycled and organic cotton. I purchased it in size XS and it currently fits just right over my 9-month baby bump, and will be the perfect fit postpartum. They also make a heavier sweatshirt for if you live in an area that gets colder. I also like that this sweatshirt will be easy to layer under a coat or jacket if I'm heading out for a walk.

HOODIES

PANGAIA Lightweight Recycled Cotton Hoodie ($150)
Another item that I got from PANGAIA is this lightweight recycled cotton hoodie in the color, "Sand" (Also in XS). I just know I'm going to get so much wear out of it this season. This hoodie also comes in a bunch of colors and a heavier weight fabric if you need something warmer. I can't wait to lounge around in it!

SWEATERS

UNIQLO Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater ($59.90)
What is cozier to wear in fall and winter than a super soft cashmere sweater? I love these crew neck cashmere sweaters from UNIQLO; they come in an array of colors and they are also very affordable for cashmere. Just a heads-up, they run quite small. I've purchased all of mine in large sizes, and I'd still not consider them oversized. This gray one is just such a classic and versatile color to have in your wardrobe, as you can definitely wear it white lounging around the house, but it also works beautifully with a more "put together" look when you go out. These sweaters get restocked every year, so if your size is currently not available (or you don't spot them in stores yet), just wait a couple more weeks.

CARDIGANS

ACNE STUDIOS Raya Mohair Short Cardigan ($200+)
I LOVE me a snuggly cardigan, and I'm delighted by the nice ones I've been collecting over the years... This one by ACNE STUDIOS, called the "Raya", will always be one of my absolute favorites though. This mohair cardigan is oversized (even though I have it in size XXS) and exceptional quality. I'm thinking that cardigans will be my go-to items to wear in cooler weather when I'm also nursing the little one. These "Raya" cardigans come in a variety of colors, and also in a version that is longer (down to under your knees). Yes, the price is steep if you're getting a brand new one, but you can easily snatch up a previously-loved cardigan on Vestiaire Collective for a fraction of the price.

SWEATPANTS

H&M High Waist Joggers ($24.99)
I recently spotted a bunch of options at H&M of comfortable sweatpants, and especially liked these higher waisted ones. They are very affordable and come in a lot of colors, too. They aren't too thick, but still have a super soft lining that will definitely keep you warm during the cooler months.

LEGGINGS

LULULEMON Align Pant II Leggings ($98)
Every single mommy blog I've read recommends these LULULEMON "Align" leggings for pregnancy and beyond. I was skeptical (I mean, it's JUST leggings, right!?) but when I tried them on I immediately fell in LOVE! It's almost unbelievable how buttery soft and stretchy they are, and I know I'm going to get so much wear out of them. I've already worn them a few times, but because they are quite pricey, I guess I'm trying to "save" them for those days that I'll actually be leaving the house and want to be comfortable but still look a bit put together. They are available in many different colors, and also lengths, so you can really get your perfect pair. Just go try it on, TRUST ME!

SLIPPER SOCKS

ZANDO Fuzzy Non-Slip Socks ($11.99)
I usually just wear slippers around the house during the winter, but this year I decided to get a few pairs of non-slip slipper socks as well, as I want to make sure I keep my feet extra warm and snug while recovering postpartum. I found these on Amazon from a brand called, ZANDO, and they were exactly what I was looking for. Not too thick, but super soft and comfortable.

SLIPPERS

UGG Scuffette II Slippers ($90)
I love my UGG "Scuffette II "slippers, and usually live in them during the cooler months. But, when I'm cuddling up on the couch, I take them off and that's why I also wanted to get some slipper socks. These slippers are SO comfy and warm, and extremely durable! (Apparently they're water resistant, too..). They come in different colors, these are in "Hazelnut".

BRALETTES

CALVIN KLEIN Invisibles Jersey Soft-Cup Bra ($46.59)
Even when I'm lounging around at home, I still like to wear a soft bralette under my sweaters or sweatshirts. This one from CALVIN KLEIN has been my favorite during pregnancy, and I know I'll still be wearing it postpartum, too. They are available in a few different colors, and have a slight bit of padding inside and no wiring. Highly recommend them!
