VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

I first spotted the VERSED skincare range at Target in the States on our visit there this past January. It caught my eye because of the simple and beautiful packaging, and on further inspection I was delighted to learn that this brand is vegan and doesn't test on animals. To top it off, the prices are VERY affordable! (Especially compared to my beloved Drunk Elephant products). I had to stop myself from purchasing the entire range on the spot, as I'd already made my annual trip to Sephora and had enough new products to last me a year and then some.

Fast forward to a few months ago, I was browsing Revolve's beauty and skincare section for pregnancy-safe products, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had added VERSED to their brand list. After checking which products from VERSED are safe for me to use during pregnancy (on 15minutebeauty.com) I added a bunch of goodies to my shopping bag to try out.

For the past few months, I have absolutely LOVED this skincare range and I'm so happy to have discovered it during my pregnancy. These are the products that I purchased, with a few notes on each after having used all of them for a while.

VERSED Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

Usually I'm not a big fan of gel moisturizers, as they tend to be a little sticky at application and makes it harder to apply foundation afterwards. But, I purchased the Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream just to try it out and I'm so happy I did! It's not sticky at all, and actually creates a very smooth base under my foundation. My skin has been a little "out of sorts" during my pregnancy, so I appreciate that this moisturizer doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy. I would repurchase this moisturizer for sure!

VERSED The Fix Emergency Eye Mask

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

If you tend to get a puffy under-eye area, I HIGHLY recommend The Fix Emergency Eye Mask. This cooling gel mask works wonders on my skin, personally; I think it's the caffeine that helps with "de-puffing" the delicate area under my eyes. I usually apply this mask two or three times a week, and can always immediately notice a difference in the smoothness under my eyes. Totally worth trying it out if you also struggle with the dreaded "didn't get enough sleep last night" under-eye situation.

VERSED Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

I decided to try the Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream in my evening skincare routine, as I like a little extra oomph of moisture to rejuvenate my skin overnight. I LOOOOVE this cream; it's rich, yes, but definitely does not leave my skin feeling greasy or oily at bedtime, and my skin drinks this up like a tall glass of water. My only complaint is the packaging; I really wish they put it in a tube instead of a tub, as I hate sticking my fingers in the cream every night and thus possibly "contaminating" it. This is another product from the range that I would definitely repurchase again though!

VERSED Baby Cheeks All-In-One Hydrating Milk

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

I'm already on my second bottle of this, so that speaks for itself. I use the Baby Cheeks All-In-One Hydrating Milk as a gentle toner after cleansing, and it's great for removing any last traces of the day from my skin. I apply it with a cotton pad, and I love that it does not make my skin feel tight like some other toners tend to do. I'm sure this will be in my skincare routine for a while, as it's safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

VERSED Wash It Out Get Cleanser

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

Even though I'm a big fan of Cetaphil's affordable and gentle Daily Facial Cleanser and have been using it for while now, I popped the Wash It Out Gel Cleanser in my shopping cart just to try out something different. It's really a lovely, gentle cleanser that I've been using in the mornings, as I found it doesn't completely remove my makeup in the evenings. It has a very subtle, "clean" scent and lathers nicely, and is definitely worth a try if you're on the lookout for a gentle morning cleanser.

VERSED Hydration Station Booster With HA

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

For those days that I want an extra injection of hydration in my skincare routine, I've been adding the Hydration Station Booster with HA to my moisturizer. Just a couple of drops goes a long way, and I use it about two or three times a week in my evening skincare routine. My skin drinks this up, and it absorbs nicely, leaving my skin super hydrated and soft. I feel like this product is going to last such a long time, as you really only need a small amount at a time, and I do think I will repurchase it when it runs out.

VERSED Photos Please Brightening Tightening Mask

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

I love me a good face mask, and VERSED has a few to choose from. I decided to try the Photos, Please Brightening Tightening Mask first (although I'm itching to try the others in the range, too!). I really like the packaging, and although it says it contains enough product for about 12 applications, I've definitely used it more than that and I apply it quite generously. This is a wonderful clay mask (but doesn't dry out and freeze your face in place while wearing it), and after washing it off with a warm facial towel, my skin is left feeling cleansed, bright and soft.

VERSED Zero-G Smoothing Eye Cream

VERSED Skincare Review | Affordable, Cruelty-Free & Vegan | A Style Alike

I'm always excited to try a new eye cream, and immediately added the Zero-G Smoothing Eye Cream to my shopping basket when I saw it; will this be the one that smooths out my under-eye area, finally!? Well, I can't say it has magically erased my under-eye wrinkles, but it definitely leaves that area brighter and more hydrated. I apply this in my morning skincare routine, as I've found that it somehow travels into my eyes at night and causes some irritation while I'm sleeping. It's fine to be worn under makeup, and actually helps with keeping my under-eye concealer in place for longer. This is another product that I feel will last a really long time, as a little products goes a loooooong way!

Overall, I'm VERY impressed with the VERSED skincare line. The products are effective, affordable, and it doesn't hurt that they look great on the shelf next to my sink (thanks to its simple and pretty design.) I highly recommend trying it out for yourself! If you also want to see which products are safe to use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, check out 15minutebeauty.com, a super helpful resource that has been my skincare bible these past few months of pregnancy.
