By now you guys should know that we love to discover new restaurants and cafes in Taipei. (Really, you didn't know? Just check out all of our food adventures here.) I can't tell you how many times we've been asked the question, "How do you guys find all these cool places in Taipei?"
We often discover new eateries on Facebook, get recommendations from friends, and read about them on blogs, but we mostly learn about cafes and restaurants on Instagram. The Taipei Instagram community is very active when it comes to food pics (and good ones at that!), and there are literally hundreds of accounts dedicated to sharing all the food and drinks that Taipei cafes and restaurants has to offer.
Among the countless drool-inducing accounts, you will be able to find ones focusing only on vegan food, or only coffee, or only local food or a variety of foods and drinks available in Taipei. Also, don't forget about popular Taipei food bloggers' accounts, like the OG of Taipei food recommendations (and "food angel" to many expats trying to find information in English) Hungry Girl in Taipei, and Taipei Foodie, the queen of drool-worthy 'grams. Really, there is just a huge group of dedicated eaters, taking beautiful photos of their food and sharing them with us hungry folk.
