With fall finally upon us, so is the inevitable crave for comfort food and wanting to snuggle on the couch, but, as eating and cafe-hopping has become our weekend “job”, Liesl and I have to brace the cooler weather on Saturday mornings. Luckily, we discovered the perfect place where we could kinda’ do both; sit back on a couch while devouring a delicious grilled sandwich. URBN culture is a vegetarian restaurant and bar that offers comfort food such as brunch, burgers, pasta and adult beverages. They’re also one of the most Instragrammable eateries in town, and have a cozy little corner upstairs where you can sit on a comfy couch and enjoy your delicious meal while also admiring the street view.

As the name suggests, “the culture of towns and cities”, URBN culture represents an urban city’s street art with their art filled space, graffiti covered walls and cool music playing in the background, even offering 10 craft beers on tap. This vegetarian restaurant is the perfect spot to hang out during the colder months, with their cool and cozy vibe, and vegetarian comfort food that’s both flavorsome and tasty, just what we crave in fall.
URBN culture is located in Daan District, only a short stroll away from Liuzhangli MRT Station on the Brown Line. We’ve been here twice and I’m still blown away by the cool interior every time we come here. They have two floors, of which the first floor has walls covered in graffiti and the second floor a dark and rustic interior that contributes to its urban vibe. Of course we booked the table by the window where the natural light is AH-mazing, giving us the opportunity to take the perfect Insta-foodie pics.

Our friends and fellow foodies, Leslie (@taipeifoodie) and Char (@taipeieater) joined us for this cool and vibey lunch, so we had a table stacked with Instagrammable delectables, from burgers to salads. They have an extensive menu, including brunch, sandwiches, salad, burgers, pasta and dessert. Char and I decided to go with their delicious hamburgers; she ordered the Spicy Mexican with Guacamole and Jalapeno burger, and I had the Caramelized Onion burger. Leslie ordered a traditional American breakfast, Eggs Benedict, and Liesl decided to go with a healthier option, the Grilled Eggplant with Chickpeas Salad. Below you can have a look at their menu, and also drool over our yummy food.
