Cozying up with a good cup of coffee is about all we want to do lately with the cooler weather that’s finally upon us. Luckily for us we are spoiled for choice with cafes and coffee shops in Taipei dedicated to the cult that is caffeine, with new ones popping up daily on every corner and alley.
Elephant Machine is located in an alley right by the famous Yongkang Street (aka a foodie's dream!) and caught our attention with their neon lights, minimalist interiors and retro design elements. We also couldn’t resist the ‘chalk outline’ (looking like something straight out of a CSI scene!) at the entrance which made for the perfect shoe selfie.

It’s a quiet space that's also ideal for working or studying, with free WiFi and electrical ports at each table where you can plug in your electronic devices. Their specialty is cold brewed coffees, but they also offer a range of hot lattes and teas and a few sweet treats, such as Caramel Banana Cheese Cake, Matcha Cheese Cake, Signature Cheese Cake and Tiramisu. They also have seasonal specials at the moment which includes Salted Toffee Latte, Iced Mojicha Latte and Masale Chai. Liesl had the Matcha Latte and I got the Salted Toffee Latte (DELICIOUS!)

Elephant Machine offers a quiet working environment and a relaxing and cozy atmosphere, so if you’re heading to explore Yongkang Street, make sure you stop by this minimalist coffee shop for some delicious and unique coffees and desserts. Afterwards you can take a picture at the giant pink graffiti covered wall that's just down the road, before exploring this interesting neighborhood a bit more.
