The Green Room | Taipei Restaurant

Thai food has always been one of my favorite cuisines, and I know few people who don’t love it. I mean, how could you not? The vibrantly flavored sweet and sour dishes literally cause a taste explosion in your mouth. Speaking of flavors, vegan dishes have become another one of my favorite options.
Well, if you’re like me and you have a fondness for these two cuisines, you’ll be delighted to know that there is a restaurant in Taipei that serves both. The Green Room is a Vegan Thai restaurant located in Daan District, not too far away from Renai Road, that serves delicious vegan Thai curries, soups, salads and other yummy dishes. They also have a cocktail bar downstairs in the basement that’s open from 6pm daily where you could enjoy delicious cocktails, craft beers or wine.
The restaurant consists of two areas; a darker, more cozy and romantic room at the back, and the front part of the restaurant where there is an abundance of natural light, and the interior looks like something straight out of a magazine. From the blue and white tiled floor, to the draping in the ceiling; we literally couldn’t stop taking pictures.
The Green Room’s menu is quite extensive, and they also have sets to choose from that offer you a larger variety. Our dear friend, and food blogger, Leslie (@Taipeifoodie) joined us for lunch, and we decided on getting the set for two people (Trust me, it was more than enough, and we could hardly finish all the food). We had the Thai Crispy Spring Roll, the Organic Spinach Creamy Dip & House Made Naan, the Organic Taiwanese Vegetables and Green Curry, Classic Tom Kah soup, Gluten-free Rice Noodles and Turmeric Thai Rice, and the Taro Coconut Milk Sago. We also ordered Thai Style Moon Cake with Pumpkin to share. Our favorite dishes were the Thai Crispy Spring Rolls and the Thai Style Moon Cake with Pumpkin. If you love Thai food, or you’re vegetarian (or both!), you will love The Green Room. Not only is the food delicious and flavorsome, the interior is stunning and you can definitely have a true Thai dining experience here.
