I don't know about you, but one of the things I love most about travelling is... FOOD! I'm sure most of you will agree, as there's nothing quite as satisfying as trying and tasting yummy local dishes from around the world. After a 2-week vacation in Greece, my taste buds were jumping with joy and I honestly think they've never been as happy. The food in Greece was fresh, flavorsome and healthy (Okay, some not so healthy... but who cares when on vacation!) and we tried to eat as many of the traditional Greek dishes as we could.
Below you can see the restaurants I HIGHLY recommend in Santorini; from picturesque spots with amazing sunset views, pink cafes in beautiful Oia serving mouthwatering sweet treats, and seaside restaurants where food is served right next to the waves.
Perched up high on the hills of Oia, sits this gorgeous pink restaurant that overlooks the Caldera, with front row seats to the magical golden hour of Santorini (They have the best view in town!). Not only is this restaurant well-known for its stunning interiors and amazing sunset views, but also their mouthwatering seafood dishes. Try the octopus, and thank me later!

The scorching hot summer temperatures of Greece definitely calls for some ice cream, and this frozen yogurt shop is just the place to go! At Chillbox you can customize your tub of frozen yogurt with different flavors, toppings and sauces, and have as much (or as little) as you want. Located in Fira, it's the perfect cool-me-down after a day of exploring.

Taverna Syrtaki
A trip to the Old Port of Fira is a must when in Santorini, and the 588 stairs to get their (Downhill...luckily!), is totally worth it. Lined with Greek tavernas overlooking the clear blue waters, a day can easily be spent here. After spotting (and smelling!) some calamari on the grill, Taverna Syrtaki was the clear choice; they offer a variety of Greek dishes and seafood, DE-licious Greek wine, affordable prices AND stunning views.

Fanari Restaurant
If you're staying in Fira and don't want to travel all the way to Oia to watch the sunset, this place is for you. Located right on the caldera, it has some of the most spectacular panoramic views, and as an added bonus their food menu is TO DIE FOR. Order the Mix Appetizers platter to share; a combination of traditional Greek Meze (YUM!)

A day of exploring picturesque Oia is a must, and what better way to start the day than with a delicious breakfast (with a view!). They serve a variety of sweet and savory crepes, and also some of the best Frappes (Greek iced coffee) in Santorini. It's not to be missed!

This sweet spot in Fira is dedicated entirely to the Greek style doughnuts, Loukoumades, and a wide range of toppings are available to choose from; from traditional honey, nuts and cinnamon, to more chocolaty versions such as Nutella and banana. I thank my lucky stars we stumbled upon this gem!

This adorable gelato shop in Oia is what Instagrammers' dreams are made of. The pink wall is the perfect backdrop for an ice cream selfie, and with flavors such as mango and rose, I can't see a reason NOT to go.

Dimitri's is not only a favorite among locals, but travelers also! This authentic Greek restaurant sits on the turquoise blue waters of Amoudi Bay, and traditional Greek dishes are served with the sound of waves and Greek music playing in the background. It can't get any dreamier than this!
