October Favorites 2018 l Beauty Products

The month of Halloween costumes and pumpkin spiced lattes has literally just flown by, and cool autumn weather is (finally!) officially here. Jump for joy! I’m super excited to be getting into my flannel pajamas, lighting my orange blossom candle, and cuddling on the couch with The Husband and my fluffy blankets. I’ve also been getting extremely excited in the beauty department (as one does when a new season arrives...or is that just me?), and have added quite a few new products to my daily routine in October. The cooler the weather gets, the more I long for hydration and moisture in my skin, so most of my recent purchases help to achieve a healthy glow, and brighten a dreary and dull complexion.

'Hollywood Flawless Filter'

I’m a sucker for anything that makes my skin glow, and this foundation/concealer/highlighter (seriously, what is it?!) ticks of all the right boxes. Everyone has been raving about this product from Charlotte Tilbury, and they have good reason to do so. The Hollywood Flawless Filter is a complexion booster, and can be applied on its own for an all-over facial glow, underneath your foundation as a primer, or on the cheekbones or any area you wish to highlight, for some super starlit skin. However you wish to use it, your skin will look flawless. Fall skin has never looked this good!

'Tinted Lip Conditioner in Blossom Lady'

I’ve been on the search for an everyday, easy to apply lip product, that will moisturize my lips but also leave it with a natural, “my lips, but better” lip color. I discovered this 100% organic lip conditioner that does EXACTLY that. Infused with vitamin E, cocoa butter and antioxidant-rich olive fruit, it keeps my lips nourished and pink all day long. And don’t let the “tinted” fool you, it’s quite pigmented and leaves a beautiful pink stain on your lips that stays put even after a few Starbucks lattes (I would know!).

I just couldn’t resist this next beauty craze product any longer, and had to give it a try. Does the Beauty Blender live up to its hype? YES! I’m obsessed with the cool and spongy feel when it touches my skin, and the way it easily blends my concealer and foundation, leaving my makeup streak-free and flawless. This incredibly soft sponge surprisingly does not soak up the product (like most beauty sponges would do), but gently presses and blends all the product onto the skin. You can use it to blend foundation, concealer, primer, cream blush, and even powder blush. It’s next-level good!

'Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer'

I’ve been a devoted follower of Chanel’s holy grail foundations for years (I still am!), but I’ve been looking for something that is a little bit more “clean” and affordable for everyday use, and that also has a higher, and non-chemical, SPF. After doing a lot of research online I discovered this tinted moisturizer by BareMinerals that is the perfect match. It has SPF 30, sheer to medium coverage (just what I need during the week!), it’s super easy to apply, and gives your skin a healthy glow. And did I mention it’s only $30? For a more put together weekend-ready look, you can just add some concealer and bronzer and you’ll be good to go.

Pillowtalk by Charlotte Tilbury is one of THE most popular lip shades, and has a cult following like crazy, claiming to “enhance the natural hue of your lips, so you can cheat a perfect pillow-y pout in seconds”. It’s a dreamy nude pink that nourishes your lips and leaves you with a matte (non-drying) finish. It’s such a beautiful color for everyday use, and especially Fall! This iconic lip shade is sold every 2 minutes, so you better hurry if you want to grab one for yourself before it sells out again!

'Peony and Blush Suede Cologne'

I know, perfume isn't exactly a 'beauty' product, but I personally feel my beauty routine isn't quite complete without a spritz of my favorite fragrance. The husband recently surprised me with this floral scent by Jo Malone, and ever since my first whiff of this heavenly perfume, I've been obsessed. I literally want to take the bottle and pour it all over me, or even better, fill the bathtub and soak in it for a week (Hey, a girl can dream!). This fragrance is also available in a candle, a body cream and a body wash. Take my money!

I love plumping my face with moisture, especially in the cooler months when my skin feels a little bit more on the dry (and dull) side. This vitamin C infused cream, made from mostly natural ingredients, will not only keep your skin as soft as a baby’s bum, but also stimulate collagen production and fade lines whilst brightening your complexion. It truly is a miracle product, and can be used as both a day AND a night cream. After trying this moisturizer I'm super excited to try the rest of the skincare line by Sunday Riley.
