Spring is in the Air

How often does it happen that you and your bestie show up to brunch wearing almost the same outfit, without having planned it? Well, it happens to Liesl and me ALL the time (hence the name, A Style Alike), so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to have a little photo shoot, and show you what we wore to brunch recently.
Yes I know, it’s spring (hallelujah!), so what in the world are we doing in cashmere turtleneck sweaters? Well, Taipei’s weather isn’t exactly in sync with the actual seasons, so we’re still getting the occasional cooler days, when we can rock our beloved and cozy winter sweaters.
I recently purchased this 100% cashmere turtleneck sweater from Everlane (the brand that is known for making simple, essential pieces at affordable prices), and basically lived in it last fall. Does it live up to its hype? Absolutely! It’s one of the softest, most comfiest sweaters I own! I paired it with my girlfriend jeans by Citizens of Humanity, and my sporty, embellished sneakers by Gucci. To add a touch of spring, I carried my basket bag from Australian brand, POSSE.

Next up, you can see Liesl’s outfit of the day. She is wearing this beautiful camel-colored cashmere turtleneck from UNIQLO (also a brand that sells quality items at great prices), paired with her black jeans by GAP (which she’s said numerous times is SUPER comfy) and these playful heart-print sneakers by Comme des Garcons PLAY. She rounded off her outfit with a minimal black bucket bag by Mansur Gavriel, adding well to her stylish outfit of the day.
