I rarely leave the house without a pair of sunglasses on me, no matter the season! My eyes are quite sensitive to light, and I can't stand that uncomfortable feeling when it's bright out and I can't shield my eyes. On top of that, sunglasses are a good way to protect the delicate skin around your eyes from the sun, and it's an easy peasy way to accessorize and showcase your personal style.
When it comes to sunglasses (and basically all accessories and fashion) I adore the timeless classics; shapes, brands and colors that will stand the test of time. Once in a while, I'll sneak in a trendy shape or color just for fun, but I always go back to my arsenal of classics that I've been collecting for over ten years.
I know some people find it absolutely daunting shopping for sunglasses and navigating the thousands of options out there, so I wanted to try and help you by narrowing it down a bit. Seeing as my collection is mostly built up of classic shapes and colors and trusted eye wear brands, with quality UV protective lenses, I feel confident that you'll get some inspiration for your next pair of sunglasses! By far my most worn pair of sunglasses is the popular RAY-BAN Round; they are my go-to pair because they really go with all of my outfits, they are light-weight for wearing all day, and the lenses offer great protection against the sun. They are available in multiple colors (you can even customize a pair on RAY-BAN's website), and they come in two sizes; Small (47mm) and Standard (50mm). Mine (pictured above) is in the Standard size.

When talking about iconic sunglasses, you can't NOT include the Baby Audrey sunglasses by CÉLINE. This shape is so incredible flattering on everyone, and the quality of CÉLINE eyewear can't be beat! They are available in a whole bunch of frame (and lens) colors, and if you want an even bigger pair you can check out the CÉLINE Audrey and New Audrey options. These don't come cheap, but they are timeless and durable and will last you a lifetime. I have them in black and Tieneke has the same pair in tortoiseshell.

Another pair from RAY-BAN that I adore is the iconic Clubmaster. This fifties-inspired shape not only looks super cool (especially on The Husband whom borrows my sunnies all the time), it's also very light-weight and absolutely timeless. The frames are available in Black or Tortoise, and it's also fully customizable on RAY-BAN's site. The lens sizes come in a Standard (49mm) and Large (51mm). Mine's in the Standard size.

When I first spotted the ILLESTEVA Leonard sunglasses I was smitten! I realized that I had a gap in my collection for a pair of brown tortoiseshell shades and these were absolutely perfect. They are available in a lot of colors, and they also have two different lens sizes; the Leonard style's lenses are 48mm and the Leonard II are 50mm. My pair is the Leonard II, so they are a little bigger. I can't recommend these enough!

Yep, ANOTHER pair of RAY-BAN (and also not even the last...). What can I say, I'm a fan! Is it possible that there's another sunglasses shape more legendary than the Aviator?! This model has been around for decades and I don't see it ever going out of style. This is the perfect pair to always keep in your bag as they are light and will definitely go with whatever you're wearing that day. They come in four colors and also four sizes! And just like most RAY-BAN sunnies, you can personalize your own pair. Mine is in the small size!

You might say the LE SPECS X ADAM SELMAN Last Lolita sunnies fall into the trend category, but I still consider these cat-eye sunglasses to be extremely chic and classic. This shape made a sudden comeback about two years ago when over-sized sunglasses was making its way out and tiny sunglasses became all the rage (Hello, Nineties!). Tieneke and I both like this shape so much that we bought pairs in black, white and brown.

You knew this one was coming, didn't you? What would a RAY-BAN collection be without it! The Wayfarer was my very first RAY-BAN purchase (back in 2009), and is what got my obsession with the brand started. Somehow over the years, this pair has migrated from my collection over to The Husband's, and I can't even be mad because they suit him better. (Also, I obviously have five million other pairs to choose from...). These are also fully customizable, but they come in four main colors and two sizes. Mine's in the Large size, hence why they look better on The Husband...

Continuing with our love of CÉLINE eyewear! Another pair that we adore is the sought-after Edge sunglasses. They might not be for everyone, but if you can pull them off they are extremely sleek and chic! Tieneke has had these on her wish list for ages, but it hasn't been easy tracking them down as they have been discontinued. Basically the only way to get your hands on an authentic pair of CÉLINE Edge sunnies is through a pre-loved site like TheRealReal or VestiareCollective, so keep an eye out for them on these sites if you're interested.

Tieneke recently added the funky RAY-BAN Hexagonal sunglasses to her collection. The shape is a little more unconventional, but it's still a style that will serve you well for years to come. These come in a whopping eight different colors, but of course can also be personalized according to your taste. Size-wise there are three available; Small (48mm), Standard (51mm) and Large (54mm). Tieneke's pair is in the Standard size.

Okay, so I don't own the RAY-BAN Erika...yet... and they're currently on my "I-Definitely-Don't-Need-These-Sunglasses-But-I-Really-Want-Them Wish List". Just knowing how much wear I get out of my RAY-BAN Rounds, I have no doubt I'll be reaching for these all the time, too. I'm currently coveting a personalized version with black frames, dark-gray gradient lenses and in the Standard size. I think they'll be perfect with winter outfits especially, and miiiiiight add them to my collection later in the year.
