Try to keep us away from a doughnut shop, and I promise you that you will fail miserably. Recently, we were in the Zhongshan MRT neighborhood and had to pop in for a sweet treat and coffee at ABCD. A Better Coffee & Doughnut. The cafe is quite small and there are only a few seats next to the wall, and while we were there it was consistently busy. (Looks like we aren't the only ones with a sweet tooth in Taipei!).
ABCD has a simple menu, offering six different doughnut flavors and a few coffee options. We were impressed by the unique flavors and combinations, and even though we wanted to try one of each, we kept our cool and each ordered only one doughnut; I got "The Berry Garden" (raspberry, mixed wild berries, rose petal and pistachio) and Tieneke tried the "Peach" flavor (peach, blue cornflowers and selected Taiwan dried peach). I also ordered the Latte and Tieneke a fruity sparkling drink. Below you can see each of the different flavors they offer on the menu.

Now we know why they are so busy; their coffee is great and the doughnuts are absolutely delicious! Not only were they beautifully presented (complete with edible flowers), it was fresh and a sweet tooth's dream. I'll definitely stop by for a tasty treat and coffee next time I'm in the neighborhood, no doubt about it!
