Tucked away in one of the many small alleys in Ximending, is ACME Breakfast CLUB, the most popular new brunch spot in town, serving typical Western brunch options. They are located on the the third floor of an older building, and offer plenty of seating indoors, and outside on a sunny balcony. The elevator opens up to a spacious interior, with big windows letting in lots of beautiful natural light. Apart from all the tables available, there is also bar-seating, behind which you can find the staff working hard on preparing the scrumptious meals and drinks.
ACME Breakfast CLUB is the perfect breakfast spot for early risers, as they open their doors at 09:00. When we arrived there at 10:00 on a Saturday morning, the tables inside were already occupied by hungry weekenders, and there were only a couple available tables outside. We really loved sitting on the balcony in the early morning sun, and didn't have to wait long for our orders to arrive. Tieneke decided on their signature avocado toast, served with poached eggs and rocket on sourdough bread. I got the popular waffles topped with scrambled eggs, bacon and maple syrup. Both meals come with fresh orange juice. We also ordered a Salty Caramel Latte and a regular Latte. Our meals were served swiftly and smelled amazing! The waffles were tasty, and the bacon crispy and delicious! The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, too. The portion wasn't too big, so luckily I had space left for that huge latte. On the other hand, Tieneke's avocado toast arrived in quite a substantial portion. She said it was mouthwatering, and that the avocado and poached eggs made up the perfect combination.
We highly recommend ACME Breakfast CLUB for brunch! The friendly staff, spacious interior, and cozy feel adds up to the perfect weekend breakfast spot. Go and enjoy their delicious meals out on the sunny balcony, where you can take beautiful photos, too!
