You guys probably know by now how much we love açaí bowls (if it's on a menu, you bet we're going to order it!), and we are always on the hunt for them in Taipei. Imagine our delight when we stumbled on this cafe completely dedicated to the Brazilian "superfruit", located near Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station. AMAVIE offers a variety of açaí bowls and cups, salads, smoothies and coffee, and also authentic pão de queijo (cheese balls/bread). Even though the space is small, it's bright and welcoming and there are plenty of seating options, and it's the perfect spot for a quick, healthy and delicious lunch. I also have to mention how incredibly friendly the staff is, you can really feel the positive energy in there.
Looking at the menu, with images of their colorful fruity bowls, it's inevitable that your mouth will start watering. Their açaí bowls are humongous and it's filled to the brim with fresh fruit like kiwis, berries, mangoes, apples, strawberries, and bananas. Added to the bowls are even more nutritious goodies like chia seeds, nuts, and peanut butter. We ordered the "Mango Madness" and "Pelé Power" bowls, and shared a bottle of Perrier sparkling water.

We absolutely LOVED our bowls! They aren't shy with the quantities, and I could barely finish it. Everything was fresh, made with care, and served with a friendly smile. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy one of their fantastic and authentic açaí bowls! The fact that Brazilians themselves recommend this place (and one of the owners is from Brazil), I feel it's safe to say that it's one of the best açaí bowls you can get in Taipei!
