After many years of living in Taipei, the one restaurant that always comes to mind when planning a fun or celebratory event, is The Kitchen Table. Located on the 10th floor of W Taipei, right beside a luxurious outdoor pool and rooftop, overlooking Taipei and surrounded by skyscrapers; what’s not to love?! The Kitchen Table is nothing short of perfection, from the modern interior design and 5-star cuisines, and outdoor seating (with a view!) which is nearly impossible to find in Taipei; it's not hard to understand why this is a favorite among both locals and expats!
Not only are you spoiled with one of the best views of the city, but they also offer all-day dining, which means you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet here. Over the weekends they also have their popular Bubblisimo Brunch, which is an all-you-can-eat buffet, AND all-you-can-drink SPARKLING WINE (I’m not kidding. Click here and see for yourself!).
We recently popped in to The Kitchen Table for their breakfast buffet, and enthusiastically grabbed a table by the pool on a chilly morning in Taipei (I’m not about to miss the rare opportunity to dine outside!). We immediately ordered some hot beverages to warm up and get our caffeine fix on this early Saturday morning, and to start off our breakFEAST.
A wide variety of western and local dishes are served at different stations inside the restaurant, and includes every delicious breakfast food you can think of; from cereals and freshly baked pastries, to omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and even gelato! We kick-started our food fest at the ‘Cold Station’, where you can find an assortment of cold meats, cheeses, bread and a variety of spreads (which is right up my alley!). We dove right in and spoiled ourselves with a mini-cheese and meat platter each, along with freshly-made carrot, orange and ginger smoothies. That followed with a LOT more scrumptious eats, from a traditional English breakfast, to a DIY omelette, pancakes drizzled in caramel and maple syrup, and of course, gelato!

The breakfast buffet is available daily at The Kitchen Table from 6:30AM to 10:30AM and is 880NT per person (Not including service charge). If you’re prepared to get up this early, I highly recommend treating yourself to this lovely breakfast at the W Taipei, and booking a table by the pool where you can bask in the sun while enjoying the stunning views around you. You will not be disappointed!
