We've wanted to try out this popular cafe with its Insta-worthy orange facade in Songshan District for a while now, and recently made our way to Cafe Coabana 古巴娜咖啡 for some desserts and coffee. This lovely cafe is a short stroll from Nanjing Sanmin MRT station, and you can sit outside on their patio, or indoors, at their many available seating options. The space is much bigger than we had anticipated, and you can easily go with a larger group and be seated comfortably. Even though their menu (which you can view below) is quite extensive, we were really craving some sweet treats, so we focused our order on their freshly made desserts.

Before going, we had no idea how huge their menu is, and were quite taken aback by all of the options in front of us. Their brunch sets are quite popular, and then they also serve lots of desserts, drinks (alcohol, too!), sandwiches, burgers, panini, salads and some Cuban-style dishes. We ordered two scones (which they call biscuits on the English menu), a lemon cookie and the freshly baked apple pie (served with ice cream). I also got a hot hazelnut latte and Tieneke got an iced salted caramel latte. Have a look at their full menu below.

To be honest, we thought this place was just popular because of its very photogenic and Insta-popular orange exterior; but, we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the desserts and drinks were! I'm going to go ahead and say that these scones were the best I've personally had in Taipei (so fluffy, warm and perfect!) and I would go back there in a heartbeat to order them again! We LOVED the lattes, too! We are curious about their other meals, and would like to try their brunch options next time. I also want to mention how friendly and kind the staff were, and that they made us feel very welcome even though they weren't that confident in speaking English. We can't wait to go back there again to try more of their food!
