If you’ve been following our blog, I’m sure you know by now that Liesl and I LOVE acai bowls, so you can imagine our excitement when we stumbled upon this newly opened (and the first ever!) Acai Cafe in Taipei. For those of you not familiar with acai, it’s a tropical superfood with TONS of health benefits that’s been making the rounds in cafes, pureed and topped with fruit, presenting the ever so popular, acai bowl.
Originally from Japan, Fruta Fruta Acai Cafe is located on the third floor of Breeze NanShan, just across the road from Taipei 101 and right in the center of Taipei’s popular and buzzing shopping district, Xinyi. This fresh new space is just as colorful and inviting as a wholesome acai bowl, with brightly covered walls decorated in leafy green patterns and tropical fruits. It's a tiny cafe with limited seating, but the perfect spot to enjoy a healthy treat on the go, or a quick break in-between a day of shopping.
As the name suggests, the superfood acai features in all of their dishes, and on their menu you can find a variety of healthy and fruity options, from crepes to smoothies and of course, the acai bowl. You can also customize your bowl by adding your choice of fruit, superfoods, creams and sauces. Below, you can have a peak at their menu, and my beautiful and tasty acai bowl.
