On Saturdays we brunch! Or should I rather say, on Saturdays we drink coffee? Liesl and I are both full-blown latte addicts (hey, the first step to recovery is admitting you’ve got a problem!), and we never pass up the opportunity for a good ol' caffeine fix and some yummy desserts. Luckily we are spoiled for choice with coffee shops on just about every corner and alley in Taipei, making them easy to find (and even harder to resist!)
Recently, we visited FURO CAFE and got to try out their delicious lattes and (wait for it..) scones! But, before we get too excited about the food, lets talk about the interior. The space is quite tiny, yet welcoming and filled with wooden furniture which gives it a warm and cozy atmosphere (perfect for studying, working, or just to get away from the hustle and the bustle of the city.) They're probably most famous for their Insta-worthy coffee illustrated wall outside (although the lattes and scones might just be giving it a run for its money!)
FURO CAFE is located in Daan District, in a quiet alley just off Xinyi Road, and not too far away from the Renai circle. Below you can have a look at the interior, before we get to the food!
You might be wondering why anyone would be crazy enough to share a scone?! (I know!) Well, Liesl and I had a big meal right before at another cafe in the neighborhood, which you can read all about on the blog next week, so we came to FURO CAFE to enjoy some dessert and lattes.
They offer light meals, such as sandwiches and dessert, and a range of coffees (I hear the Sicily Iced Lemon Coffee is amazing!) and also teas. Being the latte addicts we are, we ordered the Toffee Walnut Latte, the Caramel Latte , and a Scone.
