Kyushu Pancake Cafe l Taipei

I’ve yet to meet the person who doesn’t enjoy cozying up in cute cafe corners while indulging in yummy desserts, especially during the cooler winter months; Liesl and I recently discovered the perfect spot here in Taipei to do exactly that! Located on the beautiful Fujin Street in Songshan District is Japanese pancake heaven and franchise, Kyushu Pancake Cafe. If you’re not yet familiar with this cafe, scroll down and let us introduce you to one of the most popular pancake cafes in Taipei.
Kyushu Pancake Cafe originated in Tokyo years back when the owner started selling his delicious pancake mix in their store, made from a combination of seven grains grown in Kyushu. It’s spiraling success came soon after, and their first store was opened here in Taipei in Songshan District, with another location opening up last year in the Breeze Nanshan shopping center near Taipei 101. As you can see below, the interior is cozy and intimate, with wood furniture filling up the space and snug sofa chairs to sit back on and relax while catching up and enjoying all things sweet.
Their menu not only includes delicious pancakes, but also other sweet delights such as waffles, cakes and tarts, and also some heartier meals such as chicken curries, pork stews and salads. Liesl and I opted for the pancakes (of course!); Liesl had the Berry Berry Pancake along with a Berry Soda, and I had their Classic Buttermilk Pancake and a Lemon Soda. The pancakes were light and fluffy (just as they should be!) and absolutely delicious.

On a cold winter's day in Taipei I can't imagine any cafe being more perfect (and cozy) than Kyushu Pancake Cafe on Fujin Street. The interior is homey, thus creating a relaxing ambiance and the perfect spot to enjoy some delicious homemade pancakes.
