A few months ago we randomly stumbled upon Les Piccola while in the neighborhood near Dongmen MRT Station. At the time, they weren't up and running yet, but we noticed the beautiful and unique interior (which is visible through the huge windows, which wraps around the restaurant) and made a mental note to go and check it out after they've officially opened. Fast forward to this past weekend, when we finally got to go to this lovely new spot for brunch.
They have done such a fabulous job with the interior design, which makes this spot VERY popular on Instagram. Potted plants decorate the exterior, and huge floor to ceiling wrap-around windows lets in plenty of natural light. Also, they have beautifully decorated the space, with lots of green accents, flowers and plants.
The space has a few different sections, with a comfy couch area at the entrance (which wouldn't be good to sit and eat at, but is perfect for taking pretty pictures with your gals after enjoying brunch together!). There's also bar seating and a few tables along the windows, and towards the back of the restaurant is another space where you could get a table for a bigger group.
Les Piccola offers a nice selection of typical brunch-style dishes, and also some more sophisticated lunch and dinner options, and some drool-worthy desserts. Of course, Tieneke and I were dying for our usual Saturday-morning lattes, so we each ordered one, and we also decided to try out the pancakes; we got one order of the Honey Butter Banana & Ricotta Cheese pancakes, and one of the Pan Burger.
Our food and drinks were served swiftly, and we were absolutely delighted by the size of our lattes, which were so yummy and exactly what we were craving. We shared the two pancake dishes, and even though both of the meals were delicious, the Honey Butter Banana & Ricotta Cheese was the clear winner for us; it was sweet (but not too sweet!) and basically melted in our mouths. The Pan Burger, which consists of a buttery dough with bacon, spinach and mushroom, (and topped with an egg) was the perfect savory addition to our brunch feast.

We loved our morning at Les Piccola; the environment really is stunning and the service was great! Our dishes hit the spot and we are still talking about those amazing lattes. We recommend Les Piccola for a weekend brunch spot, or even for a romantic date night. Make a reservation in advance, as they are quite popular, especially over the weekend.
