Miopane l Taipei Restaurant

If you’re a fan of the popular and well-known vegetarian restaurant, Miacucina (And their DELICIOUS carrot cake!), you’ll be happy to hear that they have a sister-restaurant and bakery in Taipei, serving the same mouth-watering vegetarian dishes and sweet treats, and also a variety of other freshly baked goods such as baguettes, bagels, croissants, and more!
Miopane opened after the spiraling success of Miacucina, and they’ve since opened 8 locations in Taiwan, including 2 pop-up stores. We recently headed to their restaurant in SOGO Department Store (Fuxing) for an impromptu lunch, and were pleasantly surprised when we got there and they had no waiting list, and we were seated immediately. (If you live in Taipei, you’d know that this is quite rare on a Saturday afternoon!). We eagerly grabbed a table by the window where we could do some people-watching (as one does!), and also have the best natural light.
They have an extensive menu filled with delicious vegetarian dishes, including a large variety of brunch options, hearty pastas, risottos and soups, freshly-made salads and even a few Mexican bites. They also offer some delightful sweet treats, such as waffles, pancakes and also other bakes goods (Their carrot cake is DELISH!).
Miopane MENU
After a long and meaty vacation in South Africa, I was craving something healthy and fresh, so opted for one of their delicious salads. I had the Grilled Chimichurri Tofu Avocado Salad, which was a large portion of mixed romaine, tomatoes, red onions, roasted aubergine, grilled tofu, avocado, olives, feta cheese and Chimichurri sauce. The salad was delicious and definitely hit the spot. Liesl was craving something a little more on the sweet side, and decided on having the Nutty Pecan Pancakes; a sweet stack of pancakes topped with pecan nuts and maple syrup (According to her it was the BEST pancakes she's had in Taiwan!)
