You know when the craving hits for sushi, you just HAVE TO have it! Here in Taipei we are quite spoiled with some great sushi spots, and one of our personal favorites is NCISushi. They serve authentic and classic options like fresh sashimi, and also have a huge variety of choices catering to the more Western palette. One of their locations (which was near Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT station) recently closed, but luckily their bright and spacious location near Nanjing Fuxing MRT station is still going strong!
NCISushi can easily accommodate a bigger group and have plenty of seating available. The interior has a rustic vibe, complete with wooden tables, counters and walls, and is decorated with a bunch of their colorful menus. The restaurant is on a corner, and big windows wrap around to let in lots of natural light.
Their menu bursts with options to satisfy all your sushi cravings; you are able to choose from a variety of sashimi, the classics including "California Rolls", "Philadelphia Rolls", and also a huge selection of their signature flame torched rolls, vegetarian rolls and Cali-inspired creations. The menu includes photos of each dish, making it both easy to order, but also super hard to choose. (EVERYTHING looks mouth-watering!). I have never had a bad meal at NCISushi, and always walk (or should I say "roll"...) out of there satisfied. The service is always swift, and they bring out the dishes as they are finished. We know the menu and plethora of options can be overwhelming, so if you're not sure what to order, we can highly recommend going for the crowd-pleasers "Toyota" and "Sleepy Wu", and you absolutely must have some of their fresh salmon sashimi. But really, you can't go wrong with any of their tasty creations! So what are you waiting for, go get your sushi fix and thank us later!
