If you’re looking for a place to brunch (or have dinner!) in style, look no further than September Cafe in Taipei's Daan District. Located near Renai circle and right across the road from another popular eatery, Cafe by Juicy Diary, sits this beautifully decorated and classy cafe, serving delicious brunch and dinner options, and also some mouthwatering desserts.
This popular corner-cafe in Taipei not only offers delicious food, but stunning interiors too, with concrete floors and hanging light bulbs, creating a chic industrial space. Floor to ceiling windows surrounds the cafe and allows for an abundance of natural light streaming in from outside, creating a relaxing ambiance for a weekend brunch. Quite a few smaller tables are scattered throughout the restaurant and plenty of seating is available, but to get some more bang for your buck, we’d recommend getting a group of friends together and reserving the larger wooden table by the window (It's gorgeous!).
Us early birds popped in for breakfast over the weekend and indulged in their yummy brunch menu, which is available daily until 4pm. We started off with some much needed lattes before jumping right into the food. They offer 4 brunch sets (A to D), which includes a drink of your choice and also some yoghurt, or you could opt for some of their lighter meal options such as yoghurt bowls, french toast and salads. Liesl ordered brunch set C; guacamole, scrambled eggs, wild mushroom and ricotta toast, and I had the Rainbow Yoghurt, a delicious mix of yoghurt, honey, cereal, chia seeds, fruit and granola. September Cafe is a little bit pricier than the average cafe in Taipei, so it's definitely a treat and would be ideal for a celebratory event such as a birthday, baby shower or kitchen tea. Remember to call in advance and reserve a table, as they can get quite busy over weekends.
