Ever since starting our blog two years ago, Liesl and I have become quite the coffee connoisseurs (and by "connoisseurs" I mean expert coffee DRINKERS!). We’ve hopped and sipped our way around the coolest coffee shops in Taipei, and just when we think we’ve seen them all we stumble upon yet another caffeine spot. Our latest discovery lured us in with their European-style exterior and terrace, reminiscent of a Parisian sidewalk cafe, right in the center of the buzzing Daan District.
Stone Espresso Bar is dedicated entirely to the cult that is caffeine, and is open daily from 11am to 8pm (except Tuesdays), serving freshly brewed coffees and also an assortment of homemade cakes. Their tasty desserts are quite popular and sell out quickly during the week and over weekends, and people line up to get their hands on these freshly made cakes. Liesl and I had their famous Salted Chocolate Cake to share (which is totally worth the hype!) and also their mouthwatering cheese cake; both highly recommended! Their dessert options changes quite often, and are not on their menu, but the prices range between 130nt and 160nt and can be seen at the counter. If you’re in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and pop into Stone Espresso Bar to enjoy one of their freshly brewed coffees and delicious homemade desserts on their Parisian-style terrace. If you’re feeling peckish you can enjoy lunch afterwards at TakeOut Burger which is just down the road, or head to Fo.Co.So around the corner for authentic Italian food and cocktails.
