The 8 Best Vegetarian Restaurants in Taipei

Whether you are a full-fledged vegetarian, or just on the lookout for a nice restaurant to feast at on "Meatless Mondays", we've put together this list of eight amazing vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Taipei City, that truly are a cut above the rest. Gone are the days when vegetarians and vegans found themselves eating at the same places over and over here in Taipei; now we've got choices! Restaurants offering delicious meals (and beautiful interiors!) have been popping up everywhere, and we've been eating non stop. (You know, for research...)
Here are eight vegetarian/vegan restaurants we absolutely love in Taipei, and highly recommend. We've written full reviews on each of these places, which you can access through the links provided. These reviews include plenty of photos of the restaurants, their locations, our thoughts on their interior design and, most importantly, their full menus.

MissGreen is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, located not too far from Daan MRT station. They have a huge selection of tasty vegetarian dishes, and an array of vegan options, too. On top of that, all of their ingredients are sourced locally. We consider MissGreen a must-visit for all vegetarians in Taipei, as its a personal favorite of ours, too. You can never go wrong with Ooh Cha Cha, and now that they have two locations (one at Guting MRT and the other close to Technology Building MRT) there is really no excuse not to drop in and have a scrumptious, healthy meal. Pictured above are their popular vegan burgers, which are so delicious, I think they could possibly convert a die hard carnivore to veganism. Another amazing restaurant that we just keep going back to, is PLANTS. This vegan eatery is an easy 5-minute walk from Daan MRT station. I could honestly eat here every day, as they offer a wide variety of delicious and unique meals. You can also count on the ingredients to be super fresh, and the service to be super friendly. Yucca Cafe is a cozy restaurant close to Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station, and a must-visit if you're craving some healthy dishes. Their menu includes colorful, mouthwatering photos of their dishes, which makes it very hard to choose between all the amazing options. Okay, so you're craving comfort food? URBN Culture is the place to go. This vegetarian restaurant is in walking distance of Liuzhangli MRT station. It's two-storey restaurant serves hearty, but healthy, meals (and even craft beer!). We like their comfortable seating and that they have tables for bigger groups, too. 小小樹食 Little Tree Food only recently opened their doors in Taipei, and first attracted us because of their beautiful interior that we spotted on, you guessed it, Instagram. This vegan/vegan eatery is a stone's throw from Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station, and a great choice when you're in the area. Gorgeous interiors aside, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the menu is quite extensive. You can read more about it here.

The Green Room is a vegan Thai restaurant that serves mouthwatering dishes that you won't soon forget. (Plus, the interior is very Insta-worthy!). Head there from Xinyi-Anhe MRT station, and grab a table in the lovely sun room as you enter the restaurant, and enjoy a variety of tasty vegan Thai dishes. VAST Cali Eatery
Even though VAST Cali Eatery is not a vegetarian establishment per se, they do have A LOT of vegetarian options, and that's why we're including it in this list. It's located in walking distance of Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT station, and a good choice if you have a group of friends with a variety of food preferences, as they truly offer something for everyone.
