The Best ACAI BOWLS in Taipei

If you've been following our blog, or you know us in person, I’m sure you've noticed that we love ourselves a good ol’ brunch. And, you’ve most probably spotted the Instagram worthy purple smoothie bowl topped with fruit (aka The Acai Bowl) on some of our foodie pictures. The Acai Bowl has been making its rounds on social media, but not just because it's almost too pretty to eat, it’s the perfect breakfast food and it’s simply delicious.
For those of you not familiar with an acai bowl, it’s basically a smoothie in a bowl, made from the delicious acai berries (a tropical superfood with TONS of health benefits), pureed and topped with granola, coconut flakes, bananas, or any other seasonal fruit you fancy.
The good news is, you don’t have to go on a tropical vacation to enjoy one of these nutritional and beautiful bowls, as you can have it right here in Taipei! Plants is a vegan and gluten-free restaurant in Daan District, that offers plant-based whole foods, and have sure learned how to perfect the acai bowl over the years. The blend of cacao goji sprouted rawnola, seasonal fruit and chia Pudding make this acai bowl unique, and I must say, my personal favorite acai bowl in Taipei!

This Aussie-inspired cafe in Neihu has been on many “best” lists of ours, and for good reason! As if their avocado-filled menu wasn’t enough to keep luring us in, their acai bowl is one of THE best in Taipei. Just look at it, it’s basically perfection.

Cafe by Juicy Diary has long been at the top of our list of healthy brunch spots to go to in Taipei. They offer an extensive menu filled with healthy and nutritious meals, and their smoothie bowls are some of the best in Taipei. It’s conveniently located in Daan District, in an alley right by the Renai and Dunhua intersection. So if you’re in the area, stop by and try out their delicious acai bowls.

They’re especially popular for their wide range of brunch options, and with their recently added acai bowl, they have a lil’ something for everyone’s taste buds. Herban Kitchen & Bar is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Zhongxiao Dunhua area, hidden away in an alley away from the hustle and bustle of this busy neighborhood. Their tasty acai bowl is a colorful mix of acai, fruit, coconut flakes and nuts; the perfect mixture of flavorful and nutritious superfoods. They have a large variety of healthy, yet hearty meals, so take along your friends ‘cause they’ll have something to suit everyone's needs.

This "foxy" cafe in Daan District is one of our all-time favorite spots to a enjoy a delicious and wholesome meal. Their acai bowl is definitely the prettiest of them all, and we love the mixture of coconut chia pudding and banana nut granola. They also have an avocado acai bowl for all the avo-addicts out there, and other delectable dishes such as avocado and hummus sandwiches, carrot cake and chocolate doughnuts.

KGB is a New Zealand-style restaurant close to Taipower MRT station, and is mostly known for their out-of-this world, mouthwatering gourmet hamburgers (If you haven’t tried it, you haven’t lived!) Did you know they also have an acai bowl?! We tried it, and it is GOOD.
