VWI by ChadWang | Taipei Cafe

Don't blink, or you just might miss this coffee shop; and trust us, you don't want to miss out! Located on Fuxing Road, right across from the Breeze Center is award-winning barista, Chad Wang's, recently opened cafe. The exterior of the cafe is quite unassuming, and the only thing that might stop you in your tracks as you're strolling on by, and what is highly likely to lure you inside, is the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

The cafe has two floors; on the first is where the magic happens and where you'll be greeted by the friendly staff (and if you're lucky, the 2017 World Brewers Cup Champion himself, Mr. Wang), and upstairs is where you can find a table to leisurely enjoy your coffee and nibbles. (Of course you can also get your order to go!). The space has a kind of industrial-modern feel, and was surely the brainchild of a minimalist. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves, and the staff could not have been more friendly and inviting.

They brew quite a variety of different coffees, so you are totally spoiled for choice. Below you can see the full menu (which also contains a few seasonal options), and also some light bites; savory or sweet.

Tieneke and I couldn't wait to get our coffees, as our expectations were quite high after attending a presentation at W Taipei last year showcasing Chad Wang and his unique coffee creations, and absolutely loving it! Tieneke got the Latte, and I ordered one of their seasonal options, the Liquid Love Latte (still available until 3/14). We also tried the Sea Salt Caramel Brownie and the Vanilla Custard Cruffin as a sweet treat. We weren't disappointed, and were thoroughly impressed with our orders. I truly wish I lived closer to the cafe so that I can order a coffee there every morning!

We totally recommend this cafe if you're an avid coffee connoisseur, because we know you'll appreciate his creations and skill. It's also the perfect cafe to stop by before your day of shopping at the Breeze Center, or for a late afternoon caffeine pick-me-up!
