What's In My Makeup Bag

I don’t know about you guys, but one of my favorite things to do..(I know what you’re thinking, it's not shopping!) is my makeup. Of course I don’t just love applying it, I also love buying the products for it. That feeling you get when you come home with a bag filled with beautifully packaged makeup products; dare I say it’s even better than when buying a new pair of shoes?! Well, since I’m obviously quite the makeup-junkie, and have spent years trying out (and tossing) countless products, and reading tons of reviews online. I can finally say that I have found my 9 tried and tested, holy grail makeup products that I absolutely cannot live without.
CHANEL Vitalumiere Satin Fluid Foundation SPF 15, 10 Limpide
I must have tried (almost) every single foundation there is, but I still find myself coming back to my beloved, the one and only, CHANEL Vitalumiere Satin Fluid foundation. The application is so easy and flawless that you can apply it mirrorless without worrying about having one single streak. The consistency is that of a moisturizer, so it blends in easily with a cool, soft touch to the skin, leaving you with medium (but natural!) and long-lasting coverage, and a healthy summer glow. And did I mention how amazing CHANEL foundation smells?!
NARS Bronzing Powder, Laguna
If there’s one makeup product I absolutely cannot live without, it is (totally worth the hype!) NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna. I’d tried so many bronzers over the years, which either dried out my skin, made me look like an orange Oompa Loompa, or caked and looked like I was wearing ten layers of makeup. NARS Laguna bronzer is everything the others are not; it’s not drying, it doesn’t cake, and it gives you THE most beautiful and natural sun-kissed bronzed cheeks as if you just got back from a weeklong vacation in Spain.
YSL Touche Eclat, No.2
Nothing quite rocks my world more than when a product says (and actually is!) 2-in-1. Whether you’re looking for something to cover those "Prada bags" under your eyes, or something to highlight and brighten your complexion, YSL Touche Eclat is the answer to both, and more! I usually apply it on the bridge of my nose, in the corners of, and under my eyes, and also on my cupid’s bow to create the illusion of fuller lips. The application is creamy and smooth, giving you a radiant and luminous complexion within seconds. What more does a girl want?!
GIORGIO ARMANI Black Ecstasy Mascara, Obsidian Black
I know they say when something is too good to be true, it usually is, but I promise you this mascara really is THAT good! One layer of its ‘magic wand’ is all it takes to get the most voluminous and head-turning lashes of your life, which some people might even mistake as a pair of false eyelashes. It lengthens, curIs and densifies your lashes, all while being clump-free and not causing one single black speck under your eyes. I love it so much that I literally want to go and buy one for every single person I know, just because it’s that amazing!
STILA Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, Intense Black
I’d been on the lookout for the perfect eyeliner for quite a while, and spent hours trying to perfect the classic cat-eye without any success. From pencils to gel eyeliners, nothing worked until I found this amazing liquid eyeliner by STILA, which has a super fine tip allowing for the most precise and easy application, giving you the perfect, winged cat-eye. And even after tons of use, the brush is still in perfect shape, and so is my cat-eye. Wink!
CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick, La Favorite
I love a bright lip for summer, spring, and well, every other season there is. But for summer I’m always on the lookout for the perfect, peach-meets-pink, matte lipstick. After trying out tons of others, I think I have finally found the one, CHANEL's Coco Rouge Allure Velvet in La Favorite. It's the perfect shade of coral with just the right amount of pink, making it a flattering shade for most skin tones. I usually dab it on during the day for a natural look, or add on a few layers for a standout bright lip. After one (or a few!) glasses of champagne, you’ll still be rocking a pair of bright coral pink lips.
BENEFIT Gimme Brow, Light/Medium
Long gone are the days of over-plucking your eyebrows into the dreaded (and cringe-worthy!) tadpole; thanks to bold brow beauties taking over the runways with their face-framing and bushy brows. Of course we weren't all born with a thick set of brows, but luckily there is a hero-product to the rescue, BENEFIT's Gimme Brow, which adds both fullness and color. What makes this product stand out from the rest is that it has the tiniest of mascara wands, making it super easy to apply and fill out those barely there brows. I get where they got their name from!
CHANEL Poudre Universelle Libre, 30 Naturel
Yes I know, another CHANEL product, but can I help it if they make some of the most amazing and lust-worthy products on the market?! This powder is the perfect addition to your summer makeup routine, where skin tends to get a little oilier and sweatier. It's the answer to setting your makeup and keeping your skin shine free. I love dabbing a little on my chin, nose and forehead on a night out for a more polished look and the added bonus of long-lasting and shine-free makeup.
NARS Blush, Angelika
When it comes to blush, look no further than these beautiful pink shades from NARS. They come in all different shapes and forms, from powders in a compact, to creams in a stick. They are all equally amazing and long-lasting and compliments all different skin tones. I love adding a dab of NARS’ Angelika blush to my cheeks, to get a rosy-cheeked and healthy, luminous glow. It’s super pigmented so a little goes a long way and it will last you a really long time, making it worth every penny.
