One thing that always make Liesl and I feel happier is a freshly polished manicure, and what better way to ring in the new season? Since getting pampered is also one of our all time favorite things to do, we’re always on the lookout for a salon that is conveniently located, has beautiful interior, and is affordable too. Well, without further ado, let me introduce you to 睫晞 Nail Jessie.
睫晞 Nail Jessie is located in Daan District, just around the corner from the Far Eastern Hotel, and near the intersection of Dunhua and Anhe roads. It’s a beautiful and modern salon, with minimal and clean white interior. They offer regular manicures and pedicures (gel and acrylics are also available), nail art, lash extensions and waxing. They also have a wall stacked with Vogue and Elle magazines, and TVs, which will keep you entertained while sitting back and getting pampered.
Usually I’d keep my nails as simple as possible and just add a nude polish, but this time I was in the mood for something a little more adventurous, and decided to try out some nail art. I still wanted something not too over the top, so I just got a nude gel manicure with some swarovski stones added here and there. Depending on the style you want, a nail art fee (500nt) is added to the basic price of a gel manicure (1200nt), and then you also pay extra for patterns or stones you add per nail. Liesl decided to go with the color of the season, Oxblood, which is always a classic option and perfect for the cooler months ahead. Her manicure was only 700nt, and both ours took just over an hour. They have a range of polishes to choose from, including OPI, Essie and CND.

Both our nail technicians were very professional, and left us was perfectly manicured hands. It’s a quiet salon where you can really just sit back and relax while they take care of you, even offering you some tea or coffee. We would definitely go back for their professional service, affordable prices and relaxing and quiet atmosphere.
