And here we were, thinking Taipei's cafe scene couldn't get any better, but boy, were we wrong! This next gem wasn't only the highlight of my weekend, but (dare I say) the highlight of all my brunch experiences in Taipei. This cafe combines all my favorite elements, with its all-white and grey interior, lush greenery and natural light (Oh! And the creamiest red velvet cake!). But before you get too excited about that cake, let me start by telling you more about the gorgeous interior.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a sucker for all things white, and when a cafe combines that with drool-worthy food and natural light streaming in through the large, white-framed windows, I'm there like a bear. Modern touches of grey elements add to the clean and crisp ambiance, and makes for the perfect venue for a girls' lunch, birthday party or events such as bridal and baby showers. They have a beautiful sunroom in the front part of the restaurant with tons of natural light, which can also be reserved for larger groups if you have a special event in mind.
Without further ado, scroll down and feast your eyes on one of the prettiest (and most hype-worthy) cafes in Taipei.

It's not quite that often that you find a cafe that is both gorgeous AND has a menu filled with mouth-watering dishes to feast on, but I can honestly say that Sugar Pea offers both. The only thing I wish is that I had more space in my tummy to try every piece of deliciousness on their menu. After much thought and consideration, I decided on ordering the salmon & avocado tzatziki bowl (because avo...duh!) and Liesl got the pancake sliders, stacked with pork sausage patties, cheddar cheese and eggs. They have DELICIOUS smoothies and cold pressed juices to choose from, which comes in beautiful (and totally instagrammable) mason jars. I had the Summer Glow, a 'feel-good green juice', and Liesl tried the Rise & Shine, an 'energy boosting, antioxidant rich juice'. Both were delicious and just what we needed to start off our day.

Of course, lunch would not be complete without dessert, so we just had to order the red velvet cake, which I’ve been drooling over for months on Instagram. Believe me when I say, it’s by far THE BEST red velvet cake I’ve ever had in Taipei! It’s smooth, creamy and moist (and just the right size too!) Just look at it, already begging me to come back!

After reading my post, I’m sure you can tell that I’m head over heels in love with this cafe, and can highly recommend it for its gorgeous interior, natural light (great for taking pictures!), and delicious and healthy dishes. It has become quite the popular cafe, so I suggest booking a table at least 2 weeks in advance, especially if you’re planning on going on a weekend. Unfortunately, you can’t reserve a table (unless you book the whole area) in the sunroom, and it’s on a ‘first come first serve’ basis only. If you can get there early you might be lucky and can score a table in this beautiful, sun-lit room.
