Tieneke and I were delighted to be invited by Leslie (Taipei Foodie) to attend a brunch event for DOKO at the W Taipei's The Kitchen Table restaurant. Their weekend brunch buffet is quite famous for its fresh seafood spread (including oysters, crab, lobster and scallops), their variety of amazing desserts, salads, cheeses, and their selection of fresh juices and smoothies. Oh, and don't forget about the bottomless sparkling wine option...

Together with other social media enthusiasts, we got to enjoy all this delicious food while learning about a new app, DOKO. Basically, DOKO is an app where you can choose from a selection of templates and layouts to create your own little online lifestyle magazine (which they call "Zines") using your own images and words. You will be able to share your Zines and connect with other publishers, and also find other interesting Zines based on your location, or a topic of interest search. In their own words, they describe this new type of app as "If Instagram and WordPress had a love child, it’d be DOKO." I love the concept and can't wait to create some Zines to share online.

We had a blast with the incredible group of creatives who attended the DOKO brunch event with us, and were blown away by the exceptional service and attention to detail at The Kitchen Table. I highly recommend rounding up a group of friends and booking a table outside by the pool to bask in the lovely breeze on the 10th floor (and the incredible view of Taipei!) all while enjoying the amazing buffet and the never-ending flow of sparkling wine.
