For a girl that pretty much never touched coffee her whole life (crazy, I know!), I’ve been having my fair share of caffeine lately with Liesl, as we hop from one cafe to the next on our Saturday ‘blogventures’. And I totally get now why people love it (and what I missed out on all those years!) Not only is it the ideal morning pick-me-up drink, but it’s also the perfect prop for getting that on-the-table Instagram shot.

Luckily for us, finding coffee on the island that’s mostly famous for its teas, has become much easier with the coffee culture expanding and cool coffee shops popping up on every street corner and alley. Our latest find, The Normal, was nothing short of perfection with its simple, yet modern, navy blue and wood interior; the perfect spot to stop for a quick caffeine fix before hitting the town. The Normal specializes in coffee, and offers a wide variety so you have plenty to choose from. I’m still quite the amateur coffee drinker so I keep it safe by going for my usual favorite, The Latte. Liesl and I both ordered one with almond milk, which was delicious. Have a look at their menu below.

It is conveniently located on Renai Road, close to an MRT station, and also other cafes where you could go to afterwards for lunch. (We went to Liquid Bread Co. which is just a short stroll away. Read more here!)

If you ever find yourself close to Renai Road, and in the mood for a quick coffee in a gorgeous and quiet space, this is definitely the place to go. They have a beautiful little patio where you could enjoy your coffee outside in the morning sun, a space that’s totally Instaworthy too!
