Hello, my name is Liesl and I'm a stationery addict. Don't they say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem? Well, there you go. Why do you think I studied to be a teacher!? Duh! Easy access to plenty of pencils, and a damn good excuse to keep on buying more notebooks, color pens, shiny gold scissors and more. (Well, THAT and also the fact that I love to teach and kids can be pretty fun to hang out with... most of the time.)
I discovered TOOLS to LIVEBY more than a year ago and have spent way too much time and money in there. So, naturally I had to take Tieneke there. (By the way, it was way too easy to convince her to go with me; is that why she became a teacher, too? Hmm...)
We were on a stationery shopping high while rummaging through everything in their shop. It's not very big, but filled to the brim with interesting imported stationery and tools. Take a look at the cool interior and special goodies they have to offer.
Of course we didn't leave empty handed and here are some of the items we "needed". I included this pair of gold scissors I bought on a previous stationery shopping spree there, just because they are beautiful and I need to share them with the world. I didn't see more of them at the store this time, but maybe they will be restocked.
TOOLS to LIVEBY is a cute little spot to check out if you are also a stationery lover, you will definitely walk out of there with a unique piece or five. (Don't say I didn't warn you!) Also, while in the neighborhood, you might as well pop into Santal 29, a lovely little cafe a mere 2 minute walk from there. (Get the red velvet cake and thank me later!)
