Best Baby Stores in Taipei

One of the things I was most excited about when I found out I was pregnant, was starting to shop for my wee one. (Well, who isn’t?!). Once you start pinning those cute outfits and teeny tiny baby things on Pinterest, it's hard to stop, especially for us shopaholics!
For expat moms it's not always THAT easy shopping for baby products in Taipei, as most things here are either imported and heavily overpriced, designer (uhm, hello baby Gucci), online shops are only in Chinese and hard to navigate, or clothing is covered in a ridiculous amount of cartoons characters or a hideous shade of pink or blue. Of course there's the tried and trusted H&M, GAP, Uniqlo and Zara that mamas here rely on for baby clothes, but for other baby necessities and products, it's sometimes quite the struggle finding what you’re looking for.
After spending 9 whole months preparing for our little one's arrival and shopping quite a bit, I discovered some boutiques, local baby stores, and also online stores in Taipei that sells everything you need for baby AND mom, such as apparel, toys, baby gear, furniture, and the list goes on. Below you can see my recommended list of baby stores in Taipei, as well as their linked websites and addresses.
DEPARTMENT STORES
遠東SOGO台北 5F - Here you can find different brands (at different price points) such as Fila, Kenzo, Adidas, Ralph Lauren and more. They also have a breastfeeding room and a diaper changing station.
Mitsukoshi A8 4F - For a variety of baby toys I recommend shopping here (The 5th floor is dedicated entirely to children's clothes and toys). You can also find baby gear here such as strollers and car seats, and bouncy chairs and cribs.
Eslite Bookstore 5F - Here you can find a children's bookstore and also a variety of baby boutiques, selling everything from swimwear to cloth diapers. The style of clothing and toys here are perfect for little minimalist babies.
IN - STORE & ONLINE
AngelBaby - If you're looking for specific brands such as Comotomo or Hevea baby bottles, Little Unicorn swaddles, or Bugaboo Strollers, you'll find it here.
卡多摩嬰童館 台北安和店 - This local baby store literally has everything you need for mom and baby, and both imported and local brands, so also more affordable prices. From breast pumps to diapers and toys, you'll find anything you're looking for here.
Mamas & Papas 信義誠品專櫃 - Another stylish baby boutique is Mamas & Papas; they sell minimal style of clothes, bedding and toys for children and babies.
doudou - I love this baby boutique located on the beautiful Fujin street and right across Fujin Tree Cafe. They sell adorable baby products from brands I love such as done by deer, mellipou, BIBS, and also baby body products and laundry detergent from The Laundress and BONDI WASH. They also sell baby gear such as Nomi high chairs, the Veer Cruiser and Babyzen strollers.
Baby City娃娃城旗艦店 - For everything baby and mom needs (at reasonable prices) go to Baby City.
康承親子概念藥局 - This is both a baby store and pharmacy where you can find baby medicine, and also baby gear, toys and apparel from brands such as done by deer, BIBS, UPPAbaby, Cybex and more.
