For quite a while now, Yucca Cafe had been on our list of healthy brunch spots to go and try out in Taipei. And there really was no better time to go and gorge on their nutritious meals than right after getting back to Taiwan from traveling abroad this past summer (We both desperately needed a wholesome meal after eating anything and everything on vacation!).
We were drawn to this cafe because it checked all the boxes of usual prerequisites for our weekend brunch dates; on pictures we saw that they had a wide selection of delicious-looking dishes and drinks, and the space was bright and decorated with plenty of greenery. On top of that, it was also appealing that Yucca Cafe is located a mere 5-minute walk from the bustling Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station area, and sits in a quiet alley across from a small park.
On a Saturday morning, we got there just after 10:30 and it was already quite busy in there. Luckily we got seated immediately in a lovely little corner that had a huge window with natural light pouring in. (There is also seating outside, bar seating, and a table that sits 8-10 people if you happened to be a bigger group!) The staff was extremely friendly and kind, and even went through the menu with us, making suggestions and answering all of our questions. Take a look at the beautiful space!
Deciding on what to order was no easy task, as the menu is absolutely incredible (each meal option is conveniently accompanied by a colorful image of it!) and everything looked mouth-watering! Their menu is filled with healthy breakfast options, and also dishes like pasta, quiche and their popular Yucca Toast. We eventually decided on Salmon Eggs Benedict and the Acai Jar, and for drinks I got the Pink Delight smoothie and Tieneke enjoyed the Green Detox smoothie. Below you can have a look at the entire menu, and I'm sure you'll understand why it was so hard to choose.

Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious (and very filling!). Also, we were truly blown away by the friendly service, and can't recommend this place enough. We really enjoyed the experience, and we can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their colorful menu. (Especially that Yucca Toast, which looks so appetizing!)
