Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate l South Africa Winelands

A visit to South Africa wouldn't be complete without experiencing Stellenbosch, one of the most picturesque and highly-acclaimed wine regions in the country. With its Cape Dutch architecture, backdrop of mountains and surrounding vineyards, it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.

The Husband and I recently visited South Africa and spent a weekend in the heart of the winelands surrounding Stellenbosch, at one of our favorite wine farms in the area (and also where we said our "I do’s" 4 years ago!), Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate. Nestled in the lush green vineyards of Devon valley, lies this beautiful and tranquil wine estate, that not only offers delicious food and premium wines, but also luxury accommodation and magnificent venues.

Historic townhouses on the farm were transformed into luxurious suites where guests can stay and experience the serenity and spectacular views they have to offer. Eight Vineyard Suites occupy the grounds, and one Luxury Suite, which is perfect for a romantic getaway or for the bridal couple on their special day. Each room has air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a mini-bar, Wifi and also a patio overlooking the breathtaking views.

The on-site restaurant, Cafe Blanc De Noir, is set amongst plum orchards and offers a range of speciality oven-baked pizzas (The Biltong pizza with sweet figs, feta, avocado, rocket and balsamic glaze is TO-DIE-FOR). Pizza and wine pairings can be enjoyed here, with a wide variety of Brenaissance wines to choose from. My personal favorite is the Lady H, a light and crispy Sauvignon Blanc which they describe as “elegant flavors of summer and pine”. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy on a hot summer's day while basking in the sun on their lush green lawn.

Brenaissance is also one of the best all-in-one wedding venues, as you can literally have your whole wedding all in one place. They have a bridal suite, chapel, reception hall and also accommodation ideal for the bridal couple, family or guests to spend the wedding night or weekend at.
